1. They aren't alone.

Many adult women suffering from ADD feel as if they are the only person in the world who understands their struggles. People who are aware of the problem are usually very supportive and loving. Women can join forums and support groups online, like ADDmirable Women and local support groups for ADD/ADHD through ADDA or CHADD.
Women who suffer from ADD must be aware that they aren't the only ones. Adult ADD isn't understood by doctors, who are often looking for signs more typical of boys behaviour. In addition hormonal changes in puberty, PMS and perimenopause can be a source of confusion or even worsen ADD symptoms.
